This question runs in a pre-configured Salesforce environment - no personal connection required.
Call a product API to retrieve products for a given category. Return an empty list when the category is null or blank. The API endpoint is /api/products?category={category}
and returns JSON with a products
array containing objects with id
, name
, and price
fields.
Examples:
List<Map<String, Object>> electronics = fetchCategoryProducts('electronics'); // Results: List of product maps from API response List<Map<String, Object>> empty = fetchCategoryProducts(null); // Results: []
Hints:
- Validate the category parameter before making the API call
- Use HttpRequest and HttpResponse classes for the API integration
- Parse the JSON response to extract the products array
- Handle API errors gracefully by returning an empty list
